Notice to anyone near Gaineville,FL who is building 5.0 explorer power!!!!!

Ok well i wrecked my explorer a little over a month ago down in florida. And the truck has been payed off by the insurance and i dont car to mess with it again being that i dont live in florida and it would be a pain to get my parts off of it. But i amputting this out for anyone else who does live near there. It has a new Apten chip, E-303 cam, Crane 1.7 Roller rockers, Crane springs, Baumann shift kit in the tranny, And also has the stock EEC reprogrammed for the new cam and power setup. With the new program it made alot of power all the way to the 5700 rpms shift, and beyond once the charger went in. that charger wasnt in it at the time thank god!!! I would have lost my butt in insurance money if it would have been. It also has all the bracketry for the charger but the top piece might be tweaked a little because there is a pretty big dent in the passenger side engine bay. A vry well running and well built 5.0 engine that i dont want to see go to waste because someone doesnt know what they got. If anyone wants this info to go to the salvage yard and get the stuff out of it just get back to me through here and i will tell you all the details including their phone number and stuff. Hope this helps any of you 5.0 guys out there in northwest florida.

Well that was MSRP asking price. I sure as heck didnt pay that much for it thank god!!! That would be insane! lol. I do love it though. And it sure has alot of potential for what i want to do to it. More stable with the IRS too. Though the IRS isnt the greatest platform to build a dragracer on. Oh well i will overcome.

hell, an SUV isnt a great platform for a drag racer haha. But there are some bad ass ones out there!

Very true with that statement. but of course that thinking by most people is THE REASON why i am doing it in the first place. So i can put those people who only think cars and F-150's can be built for power. Yes they can but it is funner if you do it in an unconventional way and do it yourself versus have SVT build you one and then go from there. It would be fun and i could have bought an L or a Cobra but i felt this project would be funner and harder.

Whats the name of the salvage yard? Did you say the charger is on it?

charger is thankfully not in it. But the cam, 1.7 rr's, crane 120 lb springs, reprogrammed stock ECU, and apten chip are in it. And of course the exhaust, and shift kit too. There is alot of great finds for a person duilding a 5.0 explorer or stang in that truck. I mean if the person actually wanted to take the time that is. Indiglo guages are still in it too, and so is the billet grill to, i forgot about that! lol. Man there is alot of stuff on that thing i just dont want to se go to waste. So i thought i might point one of our guys to it.

Oh by the way it is E-Z Recovery They are actually located in Old Town, FL 1 1/2 miles from south hwy 349

I'm in Gainesville and looking to do 5.0 swap or a blower for my 97 SOHC. Old Town is like an hour from here I think. Why did you say Gainesville? Is it coming to U-Pull-It or another lot? I'm interested for sure.

Yeah probably. There is alooot of great stuff on that truck. It was just that circumstances didnt allow me to get any parts off of it. Heck my Glock 27 which I used to carry with me in the truck in its case (legally) is still being held at a sheriffs office there too! Very bad situation that just sucked even more when I couldnt get my pistol out of safe holding because their clerk wasnt going to be in till the next week. What kind of bullcrap is that! Well too late now. Maybe when I come back in a few years I will inquire into it and see if they kept it around. If not it is no big deal. BUt it just puts another blow for a man to have to lose his truck and his gun in the same night! lol Oh well I am over it.


But yeah getting back to the subject, the chip is still in it. And the stock EEC has a badass Apten program flashed on it too!

so you had a chip and the eec reflashed? what does reflashing the eec do that a chip cant?
