Hi All, I am looking to replace my O2 sensors. Having some mpg and age concerns - 190k miles. I also have a Bluetooth OBDII reader that said a couple readings were off, so figured I would just replace them all.

My question is, can someone help me out with the Motorcraft part numbers and corresponding locations? On fordparts, I get 3 different sensors and other websites are less helpful. Rather than take a guess, I figured I would ask. Thanks in advanve!

The details: 04 Explorer XLT, 4x4, V6, gas (not flex), automatic.

There is no need to go to Ford. The OE units are made by Bosch.
Most parts stores carry them, though you can certainly check the prices at Ford.
Your fronts are Bosch 15664.
The backs are more tricky and I'd presume have to do with 4x and non 4x but I don't know.
15" lead (4x?) Bosch 15717
11" lead (2x?) Bosch 15716

EDIT: Vs NAPAonline, you'll spend $50 more at Ford for the rear sensors and the fronts would be about a wash. Again, OE is Bosch, you'll see the name stamped into the OE units.

Looking at the Ford website, they list 6 numbers, 3 of the numbers reference the other three.
Two of the three indicate LH and RH, the third says nothing. Now, on my phone I couldn't see the part to location. But you'd need one each of the LH RH and two of the third number.

Awesome, feel bad, I could have done that myself! For whatever reason that diagram and pop-up I got with it on my computer decided to load when looking today.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I wish these bad boys were a little cheaper, the X is 10yrs old!

..... A quick follow-up question... When Ford references LH and RH, I assume left and right, but what is the point of reference? Left = driver, right = passenger? Thanks!
