Cross bars needed for 04 Explorer XLS

Guys,

It's that time of year and my wife and I have a cargo roof top carrier we would like to place on top of our 04 Ford Explorer. However, our explorer didn't come with cross bars.

Can someone recommend a place and brand where I can order a set for relatively cheap?

Got mine at a Junk yard $70 for the cross bars and side rails, threw the side rails out and still cheaper then the dealer. Seen them on fleabay too.

Ebay sucks because the crossbars are few & far between...hit up the junkyard....It's your best friend.

Post up a request in the "Wanted" thread here -- there are a lot of people (myself included) who've shaved the roof rack, so one of those people might be willing to sell.

I'd sell you mine if it weren't for the sneaking suspicion that as soon as I sell them, I'll need them. Heh.

Sorry, yep ebay, there are two right now - I'd search for '04 ford explorer rack'. My first choice is the junkyard, but these are new trucks sometimes its hard to find one and if you do they are picked over ex racks and hitch gone etc, sometimes you get lucky.
Most of the time I have been lucky with ebay, found a replacement fog light, PATS Keys. You have to be patient and it will turn up. Still looking for those F150 Tow Hooks . . .
