Odd Combo of Problems

Ok so last night my X was running fine, as good as ever. Came out this morning to go to work, start up the car and my check engine light is on. I check the codes with my X3 and aparently my Cam Pos Sensor is bad. Also found out none of my windows will go down using any of the doors. Its just very odd that both of those problems would happen at the same time. Any ideas on if these could have been a result of the same problem? Or just a coincidence... At least its nothing serious lol

Total coincident.

Your window problem is most likely a fuse or relay.

When the CPS goes bad it will run like crap.

thank god for autozone employee discount lol. I was informed that just replacing the sensor 9 times out of 10 will not help so i got the whole cam syncronizer. 60 bucks with a 60 dollar core charge minus discount. This is definately something i dont want to screw up so my friend/mechanic brian is gonna put it in for me for cheap. Still money i wish i did not have to spend considering i make 8 bucks an hour

Im not positive about the 5.0, but I know people with bad cam sensors on the 4.0 OHV have had bad luck with anything other than a Ford sensor.. Just a heads up

Motorcraft or Dorman junk. If it's a Dorman I wouldnl't trust it.

Its most likely a duralast. Ill let ya know when i get it and get it put in.
