I had posted a thread about my suggestion of how to do a rear tire carrier and it seems to be gone. It isnt even in my control panel. Any way here it is again.

I suggest taking Jefe's idea for modifying the inside of the Ex's bumper

And this weekend I fabbed up all the framework inside the bumper.

2x3x1/4 tube:

Installed inside shell of bumper:

shows what needed trimming on the frame crossmember

And all done:

Now I just need some hinges and I'll be able to fab up the rest of it.

And then add pretty much your choice of tire carrier made for the new JK model Wrangler such as

There are many different ones on this site. I think it could be done for less than $300
