Did the Axle 'U' joints Saturday morning. The Circular Dust shields that are held on with the 6 Spindle Nuts is basically gone. It's purpose is to help keep Brake dust out of the rear Hub bearing. Any ideas where to get replacements? I haven't found anything on-line. I was hoping to avoid Dealer and Old rusty used ones

The disc brake stone shields just keep rocks and debris from damaging the inside of the rotor, or anything getting between the rotor and caliper. Brake dust gets everywhere anyway, shields or not.

If you just drive on the street, you might be okay with them gone, and actually get more air to the rotors to keep them cool.

If you want a shot at new ones for a nice price, send a message to either (or both) Torrie at Fast Parts Network (torrie@fastpartsnetwork.com) which sells new Ford/Motorcraft parts, or our forum dealer (FORDSVTPARTS) that sells dealer parts at 10% over cost.

If you can't get new ones, you'll have to try used. If you get some from a fairly rust-free region, they should be in good shape. You might find members parting out in the for sale forum, or even find someone doing a salvage yard run and willing to pull and ship some for you at a nice price.
