MattAdams was the first person I know of to use them... IIRC, they had a booth at the SEMA show when they debuted their lights, and they had a lend and a baseball bat there. The challenge was to use the baseball light to break the lens... They used the same lens for the whole show.

Matt had a set on his F150 for a while... They were REALLY BIG, but had an amazing amount of light.... On his light bar, they looked like Mickey Mouse ears though....

Sorry for the late reply, sometimes I come in and search for my name and see if anyones been talking me, LOL.
Actually, I REALLY liked hte Lightforce lights, but I had some of the smaller ones as well as the gigantic 9" ones on my F-150 at various times. I think they are versatile, put out a lot of light, and you can't bust em if you try. I also liked that with the use of various lens covers and by "focusing" the beam you could basically go from a driving light to a fog light in the matter of seconds, rather than needing seperate lights altogether. They won't rust and I thought the smaller ones were a decent size for most applications (not the super-small ones, as I recall at that time they had three sizes).
If I had a vehicle that I was modifying and I wanted to ptu lights on it, they'd be up there on my list... along with PIAA's, but I can't speak for PIAA's quality lately because I haven't had any for years.
