Not sure where to put this...

Do you guys get the bi-montly magazine from 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers?

There was an article about a Ford Sponsored 4 Wheeling event in the east coast for some Broncos owners. There were over 130 Broncos (new and old) and Ford was the main sponsor along with some other manufacturers.

I thought may be you could contact Ford, Superlift, Rancho, Warn, Ramsey, Trailmaster, etc. to sponsor the next large event (Truckhaven/Moab/others) and have 4 Wheel Parts do a write up on the trip/event since we do have a large following using their products.

I can tell you that this would never happen. By sponsoring an explorer event Ford would be saying that their Explorers were good off-road. We know they don't want to admit that because then they might gain sales ;).
With the broncos, that was back in the days when they actually designed a vehicle for a purpose other then the grocery getters, now every vehicle is designed with the grocery getters in mind.

Just to add. I think it may have had something to do with the fact that Ford, no longer makes the Bronco, thus freeing them from any real ties or negative effects they might face. If we go out with late model Explorers, Sports, and Sport Tracs and people roll a couple times, this could hurt Ford's image. Not to mention any inabilities of some of the vehicles could have an effect.

Yeah, it'll never happen - Ford sponsoring an Explorer event, and that's really too bad. But, you have to figure, the last thing Ford wants is another lawsuit related in any way to the Explorer...

BUT....They may expand to include Broncos/Explorers...Just a thought..
