This is just one minuscule example why LUCAS is and always HAS been GARBAGE. The ONLY thing it does is empty your wallet.

I ALWAYS laughed when people would "swear" by this stuff...I'd ask them how they KNEW it was working. They never could tell me.

I've blown two engines with Lucas in them. AND running Mobil 1.

No, my motors didn't blow b/c of either of these products. They blew because they both had 200,000 miles on them. It was time!!!

FACE it...when you're motor has 200,000 miles on it, impending death is certain.

No matter how much of that mom-and-pop-looking-bottle-of-honey you run.

Besides, why the HELL would you disrupt the chemistry of your oil by using this stuff?!!!!!!!!!

where in that page did you even see talk about lucas?

i say if you're going to compare oils, compare like with like:

compare full syn to full syn......not a blend and a full syn...you're not going to get the same results.

And if you're going to test lucas (or any other additive) compare schaffers 80w90 blend with schaffers 80w90 with lucas.

you can't even compare this experiment because you're comparing two different things....

Umm...if all your motors blow at 200k then you are too hard on them. A lot of people here have gone in excess of 300k on a V6. Mine has 215k and a lot of life in it. I've seen lots of motors go past 200k.

And the rest of your argument makes no sense. Where was Lucas or Mobil1 ever mentioned in the article?
