the kkm will help and so will a free flowing exhuast

since you have a hi mileage engine that restore stuff may help you squeeze a few more miles out of it.but is no substitute for a real engine rebuild

KK< ontake will help performance and mileage.

I would avoid ANY oil addative like the plague.

Good luck.....

what about that high mileage oil that valvoline maxlife oil?

That is a good oil to use. Its formulated to help your seals as they tend to leak as they age. I have used it before on my old truck and the leaks got better. If you dont have any leaks, I suggest a synthetic oil such as Valvoline, or Amsoil.

Gongrats on 200k on your EX. The KKM will give you the sound. Unless something is wrong with your motor, I wouldnt do anything more radical than trying one of the oils for higher mileage cars. However, if you got major smoke, oil consumption, and loss of power problems, might as well try a product like RESTORE. At this point, it couldn't hurt as a rebuild is most likely in your future. Good luck.

first hand experience

For a while in college I inherited my mother's 1987 Olds Cutlass Ciera for a daily driver. (Shocking that my Chevy was broken at the time) Anyway, this little 2.8L V6 would not move to save my life. One oil change, at about the 80K mile mark, I used a bottle of RESTORE, and the improvement was noticeable almost instantaneously. I put a bottle into my 98 Explorer Sport 5speed two weeks ago and noticed a gain, but probably not as bi since my engine is more powerful already and didn't have all the city driving that Olds did.
Just my $.02.
Karl
