Any idea what causes this, there's always a drip on the oil filter on my 2015 sport. Above the filter seems dry unless the leak is immediately above it. The filter is a motorcraft fl-500s.
On my 2016 if I had tighten it I need to get it as tight as I can by hand to keep it from dripping. The first time I changed the oil I saw the drips and wondered about it but since the first time I seam to get it tight enough to not drip.

I did hand tighten the filter so that might been it. I've been doing my own oil changes for about 25 years and never had this issue before. Thanks for the info.
