hey guys,
Recently, my oil gauge has been acting a little funny. Basically, anytime that my X has been sitting for over about 8 hours (overnight, while at work, etc) and I start it up again, my oil gauge is all the way down and the "check engine" light turns on. After starting to drive and going for about 3 minutes, it starts flicking up and down and then eventually just stays up where it should be showing that my oil is at a good level and the light turns off.
This has happened right after I had a fresh oil change (both from me doing it and a shop) and then also a long while after having the oil changed. I honestly don't remember the first time it happened and what the situation was where I noticed it.
Any ideas of what the issue is? Hopefully it is just an easy fix and something I could do on my own. Thanks for your help!
