Oil pressure (false?) alarm

The oil pressure gage does not move on some cold mornings, but it is only for a short while. Then it shoots up to normal. Acts just like it was sticking! It happens a couple times, and works normally after a short while- probably 2 minutes at most.
I suspect the pressure switch itself. Anybody know where it is located on a 1999 4.0 V6?

ive only got a first gen v-6 . some one will answer give us a day could u tell us when your last oil change was ?? are you sure ya have the correct grade of oil in the engine either done by urself or qwick lube place ? ohh welcome aboard !!!

If you have the correct oil in it, and the engine is not making unusual noises when the gauge sticks, replaced the oil pressure sender. This has been discussed on this site quite a bit.
