The last couple days my oil pressure gauge has started unusual movements...like going from normal to zero then back up. These movements are extremely rapid and have no correlation to anything I'm doing (moving, accelerating, stopping, etc.). I seem to think they are electrical in nature as opposed to actual loss of oil pressure because they are so rapid. Oil quantity is normal and changed regularly. Wondered if anyone else had this issue. I plan to change my sending unit as a precaution first. It does set off the check engine notification which then goes off when normal. Thanks.
