I just changed the oil in my 97EB for the first time and wondered how to reset the annoying little computer reminder that the oil change is due? I think I have about wore my reset button out. Thanx everybody

Hold the Oil Reset button for a few seconds. The display will count down from 5 seconds. Neat to watch. But, remember to hold the button down.

I have tried that. The truck was running, the computer said oil change due or whatever it ways. I hit reset to stop that and get back to the normal screen. I held the oil reset button forever, nothing counted down or reset. Every time I start the truck it tells me that an oil change is due. Am I doing something wrong, or maybe there is a problem with my computer.

I have exactly the same prob...on my 95 limited...I can`t reset it..

So nobdy has any ideas about this. I have tried to reset it as explained but no luck. Is there a problem with my computer or is there something else I should try? Thanks:mad:
