Ok, tonight im breaking down.
story=
Last week i recieved my Alpine 7998 and my 2 Tantrum 1200.1s along with a JBL p.80
I drive a 2002 explorer sport and although the *premium system* sounded ok I strongly dislike stock anything
I decided to lay down the money for a new system and after 2ish months of planning I decided that I would do the following.
Alpine 7998
2x Tantrum 1200.1
2x 15A
1x JBL p.80 for my stockers
$500ish incase something went wrong
well it all seemed good and dandy the day I got it all installed. I normally would try to do this on my own but I really didnt want to screw it up and Id rather let the installer do it and use his warranty incase something went wrong.
Well saturday passed and all seemed to be well and done. I had all 4 stock speakers, the front and rear both seemed to be working (the jbl is 40x4) no static or distortion, both tantrums had a nice blue LED and everything was clean and dandy, the car started and ran fine etc etc.
so now its wednesday night and my 2 rear *premium full range pioneers* are dead. 1 of my 2 sets of fronts (4' mid and 1' tweet) is gone. the blue LEDS on the tantrums have shut off and I honestly have no idea whats going on. The 15A's havent even gotten here yet and i got this really nice headache that really isnt helping anything etc=/
What did I messup on this install?
did the p.80 overpower the lil stock things=/
do I need to put the extra 500 into a new set of comps?
I was originally gonna get a new amp considering im drawing a lot of power off my stock 130 amp=/
c'mon all you car audio guys I need your wisdom
