I have a few questions about what people have done with the vacuum tubes that are supposed to be 'snug'. They DO NOT appear to be too snug on my application (2001 Sport 4.0L V6 SOHC)!! As a matter of fact...how the h3ll is one supposed to get the hard plastic tube into the hole they've drilled into the tube?!?! I can't find any way possible to get mine in that hole WITH or WITHOUT the rubber grommet that MAC supplies...

All in all...my truck is idling normally though I do hear a strange 'leaky' sound during heavy acceleration (this may be normal). I would feel much better if I KNEW my connections were snug.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

I had to modify ( make them bigger ) the holes on my MAC intake.

After you drilled the hole a little bigger...did you then use the rubber grommet or not? I'm going to put a couple hose clamps on the other little blue hose that came with the kit...to try and ensure that there is no leakage there.

yeah I pluged one cloesd with a grommet and some Permatex and other I used a gromet.
Make sure you smooth the edge real well. I cut through one gromet with too much of a sharp edge.
