well the wonderful indiana weather has gone from 86 degrees to 48 in 2 days.
get in my truck today after work and i needed heat...turn the knob over to the far red side on the middle blend door control. then turn it to vent and floor postion and cold air..all the way home it blew out really cold air. never even got close to getting warm. truck ran at normal temp...

the blower settings all work fine. When i use the blend setting, on the highest heat setting it comes out cold...when i turn it down it seems to come out cooler...
the vent control, every one of those works, when on a/c it gets some what colder (my a/c isn't great to begin with).

under the hood the clutch thing (i forget what its called) it does click on and off like it usually does. and the hoses that lead to the heater core are warm.

I checked the fuses...i guess they were ok, not sure what ones to check out though...let me knwo what ones i should check out

whats up with this? i fear it is the blend door problem....your thoughts?
any advice?
thanks!

Yup, sounds like your blend door took a dump.

its weird though because tonight while i was driving around i turned the knob back and forth several times and the air finally started blowing out warm......i figure if it was the blend door then that wouldn't have fixed it...hmmm any ideas?

It's still probably the blend door, it's hanging up, and not fully broken yet. Often times they do this before they die, you'll typically hear it knock or slam over.

hmmm that sucks ass...stupid ford and their stupid blend door

i'll have to keep that in mind...thanks!
