So I have acquired a bunch of new toys in the past 3 weeks. I got an iPhone, my wife got me a netbook for my bday, and my mom got me a nice Garmin Nuvi 765t for my bday. I also have an XM radio.

Here is what I want to do. I want to swap my current 6 CD Changer HU out for the 2004-2005 unit with the AUX and SAT buttons.

Here are my questions

1) Is the newer HU "SAT Ready" where I can use either XM or Sirius, or is it just Sirius? At this point it doesn't matter because they're one company, just curious. Also, what is the P/N for this unit (I have an 2003, audiophile system, no DVD)?

2) Is there a normal 3.5mm AUX in jack on the back of the newer HU, or am I still required to get the PIE unit?

I want to be able to connect either my iPhone or NetBook up to a 3.5mm jack and have the sound pass through to the sound system, and I also want to have the SAT integrated into the head unit so it sounds nicer and I can use my steering wheel controls.

I really want to find a way to pass the audio from the Garmin through my sound system regardless of whether im using CD/SAT/Aux or AM/FM... but I don't see any practical way of doing this.

Thx for the help guys.

1-It is SAT ready, you have to buy the receiver + harness
Not sure on the PN, I'll try to check mine out later today

2-There's not an input there, you need the harness (I think there's one that includes HD or SAT radio + Ipod input, but it's ~ US300)

3-Not sure if you can hook it up to be like a cell phone, where it mutes the radio for the duration of the call
