old body bushings

When you install a 3 inch body lift, are you supposed to take off the old body bushings. If so my truck is not 5 inches off of the frame.
 






I mean, it is now 5 inches off the frame.
 






Um I think you are supposed to leave the bushings. On my BL (2") I left the bushung. I just put the blocks on them.
