My family has a lot of farm land up in Fines Creek, NC, (which is 30 min west of Asheville, NC). I was wonderin if there would be any interest from anybody for a trip. We have a lower valley ,with pasture, that could be used for a lot of room to camp; or a short hill climb to where the top of the mountain that has been cleared. The trail-ride part would not be hard, (or at least last time I checked.) There is an old trail/logging road that runs from our land, then borders the Pisgah National Forest. The road winds around until it comes out about a mile from TN, onto I-40. This trail-ride would be more of a greet and meet, with some trail riding. The whole trip could be done in a weekend. I am going up to make sure the trail is still clean, in a weekend or two. I just thought I would throw this up and see how much interest anyone had, if any. Any Questions about it, just feel free to ask :D . ( I am going to take pics on the ride, prob next Weekend.)

I'm in, could probably bring a few people from here too. I'm about 45 minutes southwest of asheville so that works.

Definitely would love to go. Details! :D

I am gonna go up next week and make sure everyhting is in line for it, (firewood and stuff) I was thinking sometime in mid-april, just cause it would be a little warmer....??

On the left is a google Earth image of the logging trail. It is slightly highlighted in yellow, and on the right is a Map-point Pic of the area (in the box) to show the general area in relationship to I-40. Any questions about it, please feel free to ask.
