Hello, all. I'm a new member but been around a while. Retired LEO almost 15 years now. Mostly Ford man, especially trucks. Currently have a 1987 F150 XLT, a 95 Ranger XLT, and in my driveway my son has his beautiful 73 Bronco, and a 71 Bronco. Over the years I have had many other Fords, couple of Broncos, trucks, and cars.
Been doing most of my own repairs on vehicles forever, leaving the most difficult stuff for the garages and real mechanics.
Right now my beloved 87 is sitting since I broke a bolt in the housing trying to change the thermostat couple weeks ago. May have to replace intake.
Luckily my FIL was about to sell his 95 Ranger and I was able to get that one for $1000. Nice little 2.3l truck with only 83,000 miles. He hardly drove the thing in several years, last year and a half only 1000 miles. Needless to say, it needed some cleaning, and not much else. Fuel gauge doesn't work so I ordered a new pump/sending unit. I plan on removing the bed to do that.
It is missing the emission control information sticker for some reason, I've been searching everywhere for a replacement or even a picture of one to no avail.
Would appreciate any help with that.
Sorry to ramble on, hope to converse with you fellow Ranger/Bronco guys in the future.
