one important Q??? about shackles

hey i just put my shackles on last weekend, i got them from pep boys i didn't think that they would be as strong as the stock ones so what i did was put them on the outsides of both the stock shackles, pput the top bolt through the fram, and the next stock bolt through the next hole then the last 2 holes were for lifting i put the leaf in the bottom hole it is about 2 " for the stock hole, my Q?? is now my leaf is loookin a little flat not much arch, is the ok

This was discussed before, if you do a search you will find alot of different opinions on this, mine personally i believe it is an optical illusion, cause someone took measurments of the leaf length with stock shackles and with the warriors (pepboys) and they came out the same.

BTW, when you put the bolt through the stock shackle and the pepboys one, the bolt went right through? for some reason mine doesn't my pepboys shackle hole is like .5" off

U R RIGHT, THE BOLTS DIDNT GO THROUGH THE STOCK BOLTS ARE FATTER THEN THE PEPBOYS DRILL OUT THE NEW SHACKLES AND THE TOP TWO WERE STOCK , WHEN I TIGHTEN THEM UP THE THRIDS CAME RIGHT THE END OF THE NUT JUST ALOT OUT . ANS THE BOLT THAT GOES THROUGHT THE LEAF I DRILL OUT THE SHACKLE THE PEPBOYS BOLT IS THINER AND THE STOCK SIZE FITS BETTER.. BUT SINCE I LEFT THE STOCK SHACKLES UP THERE IT JUST LOOKS SO MUCH STRONGER , THEY LOOKED TO THIN WITH OUT THE STOCK ONES
