One last time for the T-Case. I promise.

Hello to all. I promise this will be the last time I try to solve my identification issues. Please bear with me one last time on this as over the last year I have not had time to figure this out. Just got layed off and $$$'d up so I will do this once and for all. After getting ripped a new one by a certain local service station here in the city I have lived all my life, I simply refuse to bring it to another one and besides, I way rather enjoy the satisfaction of doing it myself(with some very welcomed input of course). So here it is. I have a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT,Control Trac, Automatic four wheel drive, 4.0 V-6, Gas engine, SOHC, 4 door with the rear hatch. The Dealer told me with the VIN # I gave him that I need the BW 4405, F77A-GA. Is this T-Case The one with the 6-Bolt Cup Front out put flange. Cause That's what's in there already and that"s what the Tag reads too. I just need to hear (or read) it from you guys out there before I make final purchase decisions. That is exactly right. I put in an older version with the double cardon joint style shaft, but i had a few spare front shafts from my 1st gen explorer

O.K. So Then the F77A-GA does have the 6-bolt Cup and my prayers have finally been answered? LOL.

Yes, I have the same unit, that is what you need...cup flange & speedo hole.
