I've got a new problem. :( I just had my AC serviced about two months ago and it has been working great! I then wrapped it in heat reflecting insulation and it pumped out even colder air. But the other day I turned the switch to the normal AC position and it just blew hot air. I let it go for about 10 minutes thinking it just needed to get cold...but it didn't. It's like i had the heater turned on. The funny thing is, when I turn it to MAX AC it gets cold like it should. Don't really need AC this time of the year, but I paid the shop good money to have AC. I'm going to go back to them sometime this week, but in the meantime, any ideas? :navajo:

Its probably the, crap i cant think of the name, the part that moves back and forth to control hot and cold. The motor has a peg that goes into the part. The peg has a piece that engages the baffle door. The pieces usaully break off over time. there is a thread somewhere on how to fix this.

The blend door. I think mine just went last week after surviving the last eight years. :(

...and it's a good thing you didn't come out of Les Schwab today and see me parked next to you. You'd have your IFS tore out already. :p:

BLEND DOOR, how in hte hell did i forget that!! any ways what he said

Thanks Guys! Hey Johny, whatcha doin' this weekend? I already started cutting my swing-arms for tire/jerry can carriers, but need some welding. Could you also show me where this "blend door" and its peg are? :navajo:

The blend door motor is behind the glove box, left hand side i believe. Kinda flat yellowish

Is it possible for the blend door to just get temporarily stuck? I turned on the AC yesterday after going through a car wash and let it run for a good 15 min. It ran normal! Has anyone had their blend door correct its own problem? :navajo:

mine has at times, but now it is just hot.
