Open closed loop.

Hello, I have a problem I can't figure out. My explorer 2005 4.0 sohc 4wd, started sputting, when I press the gas pedal it has no power then it kicks in then drops back. So I scan for codes. Only code cylinder one miss fire. Then I watch live data and notice it will go in and out of open and closed loop every 45 second. When it's in open loop it has no power and wants to die. Then in closed loop it peeps back up and goes. With all this there is a heavy tick. Just started all this out of the blue today. Any ideas anyone?

How does that spark plug look? And can you narrow down the source of the truck.

Spark plugs is wet and brown. Today it is throwing codes miss fire clyinder 1 3 and 6. Tick sounds from top.

Tomorrow I'm going to put a spark tester on it but I have a feeling in my gut it's timing chain related. It never had any problems with the chains before or any noise but I guess it could just go bad. Any ideas anyone?

Ok today I checked for spark and it's fine. Very strong. Codes today are p031,0316,0171,0300,0303,0306. With the missfire on one bank I ran a camera down in the oil fill all way back to the chain. It is on the sprocket. Could a broken hydraulic lifter cause theses codes? This bank is pass side or right side? Correct?
