Finally got rid of my 92' Ex (damn good vehicle) for a new 2003 model, (they're awesome too). And with the new car I need a whole new setup. I had decided that my next system was going to be all 100% JL audio, but is JL audio's stuff a good investment. I have heard mixed reviews on their products. I was thinking, 2 (XR650-CSI) up front, a pair of (XR525-CSI) in back and one or two 12w3v2's. Will this sound good, or can I get better for less somewhere else. I'm looking for good spl without sacrificing any sq. So tell me what you think. Thanks

I like my JLs and took the USACi world championship with all JL. I would go with what you like be it JL or ??????. I have heard meany great systems out there, with everything from JL to Rockfords to Focals. All sounded good. It depends on how they are installed and set up even the best and most expensive speakers in the world will sound like dog meat if installed wrong.

Had a single 10" JL in a sealed enclosure of my '89 Porsche 924 that moved so much air it caused the rear window to separate from the frame. I loved it!

from the systems i have personally heard, JL has always sounded the best..... now, i know a lot depends on amp and enclosure as well, but the jls i have heard were great....... if iever get a REAL sub for my rtuck, it will probably be a JL.... but i am most likely going to get some cheapo brand, becuase my truck is open top and more theft accesible

hey guys thanks for the responses. I am really looking forward to the new install. I have always thought very highly of JL audio but wasnt quite sure if that was just hype. Hey !!94ZebraRanger!! give me some time and I'll becoming after you. We'll see whos puppies pound the hardest. LOL yeah right. What is your setup like? And what kinda numbers do you have to put up to be a USACI champion?

Hey goto Sounddomain.com and do some reasearch. There are so many companies with great gear out now. Most people would say that JL is way overpriced. And the only reason to go with JL is for the W7. (what a work of art!) go do some research and email me with any questions and i will point you in the right direction.

All of my subs have been JL, i don't like the sound of any others out there. My old Saturn had all JL speakers and i was very happy. I currently have 1 10 in my X, will be upping to 2 in a custom box in the side panel, hopefully soon.

go with what sounds the best .......some companys make better parts than others....

Totally depends on what you want...I think JL is probably the leader in mid class technoloy as far as amps are concerned, I can give more detail upon request, but their stuff is unparralled by anyone else, their subs are very very clean and can be placed in SPL systems although I wouldnt, there are much "louder" subs out there, and JL's Evo speaks rule, again there are much nicer ones out there.
