How do you guys like them? My B-Day is comming and I think I should get myself a pair;) I tried to make the cotter pin kind that everybody else has and they suck, so please don't leave replies about how I should fab my own. I don't have a machine shop in my apartment, and I want the warriors that get the whole dog bone out of the way. Thanks for your help.

If you want to spend the money go for it, as for me, I went to my local hardware store, bought some 1/2" pins with retaining clips and run them right through the bottom where the bar connects to the axle, when wheeling I either zip strip or bungee them up and out of the way, it works slick, easy and affordable. Do it this way and go spend the money on some birthday beers.

I was wondering if you could repost your homepage link. I wanted to check out your truck, specifically the false floor if you have pics of that.
Oh yeah, I did have my mechanic use air tools to get the old sway bar bolts out, they were in there good.

Dannyboy,
Thanks for the help, but I fussed with making my own, and they turned out to be slow discos! I hated them. Not only that, they were loud and the whole dogbone was connected to the freaking swaybar when they were disconnected. It was easier to just unbolt them, rather than mess with the hitch pin crap! Oh, I don't drink, so I guess I might as well spend the $ on my truck
:p

Here's where youll find all the pictures of my truck. I don't have any of the false floor, but basically I got the idea, did a search and found out Matt Adams already did it! Mine was in a 2 door though, So a Queensize mattress was a huge accomplishment. It holds my spare, tire chains, tools and recovery equipment. it is 10" deep. I have a folding piece that connects the front of the box and lays on the back of my folded rear seats and gives me room for me and my wife to crash, it is pretty nice. I have some pictures, but no scanner handy. Sorry.

Heres where they are: Kirbys Pictures

See how much that front isn't flexing? Needs some discos!

I have the Warrior quick disconnects, and I am not %100 satisifed with them. They are pretty noisy, in the sense that even after hitting the bolts with an impact gun, you can still hear them popping every time there is any amount of flex in the front. They look neat though, but if I had it to do over again, I would try the cotter pins first.

My warrior Q/D's pop also. Major annoyance! It seems like the only time they DON'T pop is when they're packed with mud!!! :)

Nobody couldh've stopped me from buying mine, tho. I HAD to have 'em...Now I know better. I should have listened to the people that did the swap before me.

Oh well. Hope this helps.

Jim

This is the second thread that I read, that people are talking about a popping noise. I have the Warrior disconnects on my 97, but I have never heard a popping noise on mine, and I have left them connected sometimes when I'm not doing anything serious, but still have not heard them pop.
Is this just happening on the pre 95 models?
Is this on the front or rear disconnects?

My X is a '94 and it pops mostly in the front.
I'm removing the rear sway bar to make room for my H.D. Diff cover I bought last year (I gotta quit procrastinating :) ).....

If and when I EVER get my trailer, I'll be losing the front sway bar also. Can't wait!

A little while back I was planning on making my own QD's. I had already tossed my rear sway out to never go back on again. However,as I was taking off my front sway bar to make the QD's, I realized it only took 2 minutes to get the front sway bar off and 2 minutes to get it back on. So now, thats all I do right after I air down my tires. I thought the idea of QD's was pointless when its so easy to get the front sway bar off. When you are putting it back on, just be sure to find the most level ground possible with the tires straight. Its much easier that way.

Thanks Peking Man. I just might do that if some birthday money doesn't materialize:D . I had to spend my QD money on tires for my ranger. Anybody with a simular front end to mine- 3" V.R. James Duff with f150 spacers and Extended Radius Arms with 33's- does disconecting the sway bar help it that much? I disconnected it a few times before I had Extended Radius arms and spacers with 235's and it only gave me like 1/2 inch more droop. I guess I need to take it off and see, just wondering.

I'm wondering also on the sound from the product. I've got one of the first sets and have never had a problem with them making noises? I guess it just depends on how they made them at Warrior.
