Whats up guys. I'm about to install the Alpine MRV-F450 (5-channel V12) amp in my '00 XLT. I was wondering since this amp will be pulling so much power straight off the battery, should I get a capacitor or just get an optima battery? Let me know your opinions. Thanks.

Why not wait till it is installed and see if it dims your lights any? I ran 2 540's and 2 500's in my setup. But I ran a 2nd battery also connected to all 4 amps with a cap connected to only the 2 500's when they hit those hard bass notes.

I just bought an 8000K HID Kit, so I am thinking that my lights might stat dimming, but we'll see.

For good measures, I'd get both the Optima and cap. You won't regret the Optima, they're damn good batteries.

you can always replace the alternator with a high output one. battery can only give as much juice as it gets
