orig dealer installed wrong shifter for shift to park issue

They put a escape shifter in my Sport. I no longer get shift to park..but lately i am noticing that the remote start won't work unless i am really close. Battery is fine in FOB. And sometimes it will give me..no key detected as i am driving. Could this cause these issues?

Also no really related but I want the heated seats to come on when i remote start it. And i have it set to last setting...but it never puts the seats on...brought it up to the dealer but they couldn't find anything. It goes it again Monday for airbag sensor failure and i will bring it up again

Change the battery in the fob. Had to change my wife's last year and mine yesterday for the same issue. Seats do come on when remote started but once you hit the start button and MFT boots up, you need to turn them back on.

Setting should be on "Auto", not "Last Setting". This is covered in the Manual. Also have the dealer install the correct shifter.

Yeah i have to call the orig dealer...45 min drive each way...the dealer 5 min from me that i take it to can't fix it...have to bring it back and i start a new job in a week..so i need to see if they have a opening this week when i call tomorrow
