my 2007 4.6l will not start... it's rainy and everything is wet, engine bay is dry but underneath is damp, ran great last night ( about 1 hr. ride to get home). seems like no fuel. usually fuel pump gives you a little warning before it goes ( hard start or intermittent bog). cranks great, no gas smell no start. anyone ever had this problem? HELP!!!

Can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key from off to run without going all the way to the crank position?

changed filter ...not dirty....checked the fuel rail pressure ... no pressure./// remember my other son's truck, same thing ..fuel pump control module... BIG hole on back side, rotted away and you can see the main board. up and running!!!!

How could the rain damage the fuel pump control module? ;) Good troubleshooting, glad it's fixed!

module

the module is aluminum and it's mounted right on a steel bracket, not good for corrosion, and after 7-8 years it gets so bad it has a big hole in it, to the point of seeing the circuit board. on this one, a corroded piece of metal fell in and played with the backside of circuit board until it stopped working. 2 bolts and one plug and it's good to go. ps. it was on the cross member that the spare mounts to, up on top where your arms don't fit so well.
