Output shaft swap information needed.

how hard is it to change the output shaft from one transmission to another in a 1997 4.0 5spd explorer 4x4 ive put a few in so now its like cake but lack of funds are adding up and was wondering how hard it actually was

I are the confused -- you said you've "put a few in so now its like cake" but you're asking how difficult it is to do? Didn't you just answer your question?
 












Lets put it this way: Teh output shaft is the last thing to come out of the case and the first thing to go back in when rebuilding the trans... Simple enough?

i have changed transmissions 3 times i tore down a old core one i had one that has a broken output shaft all i seem to find for a rebulid kit are the cluster and main shaft i was wondering if there is a site or kit just of the output shaft the main shaft is a two piece shaft i need the back half after pulling the tranny and trans case that was in it last time i came to the conclusions that the 4.0 have some torque its totaly destroyed im soon goona just swap a c4 and 302 i just need the output shaft for a little bit of time if any one has any ideas or answers i would appericate it thanks
