My driver's door handle has become extremely loose in that when I go to open the door I have to pull it almost all the way up before it even does anything. My rear doors aren't nearly as bad. My passenger door is perfectly fine though and has good resistance through the whole range of motion. The handles don't move side-to-side, just are loose on the sweeping motion. Sorry if that's a little confusing but anyone have any ideas on how to tighten it up?

I have the same problem on my driver door handle. Mechanic said the whole thing needed to be replaced. I really don't know if there are any other solutions.

I've replaced mine a couple times, easy job the replacement handles I've found are garbage and keep splitting the plastic. I can't find the factory one with the textured felel to it either.

Inside handles are a POS too but on the outside ones you can only get them in black and must paint to match. IIRC you'll also need a 1/4" rivet gun to replace them.

So the only way to fix it is to replace them? I saw a spring on the inside that connects to the handle. Could that just be replaced instead?

I could be wrong but I don't think that that is a "spring" problem. You can check/adjust the linkage rod and see if it makes it operable.

Granted I was going back a year and a half in memory. Not always the most accurate. Thanks for the pictures and I'll see if I can do anything. It's not pressing enough of an issue to warrant a new handle just one of things that can be a nuisance.
