I have an unusual issue that I cant seem to find an answer to online. My driver side passenger door can still be open from the outside even when all the other power door lock knobs go down including the front passenger side door. I have a feeling its the latch mechanism spring wearing out but just to be sure I'm wondering if anyone else encountered this issue.

I had that with my drivers door.

It ended up being that one of the rods was dropping down just enough that the tab from the inner door handle was being pushed/pulled enough to operate the unlock feature.

It took about 10 minutes to fix.

I was able to fix the problem it turns out it wasn't that infamous yellow clip holding the rod down, that happened to my driver side door before but rather the rivet to the power door lock actuator on the fonrt passenger side has completely broken off so I substituted it with a bungee cord to provide a decent anchor so it could lock fully. Now that issue has been fixed another one has sprung up with the driver side door lock switch only unlocking but not locking. I

Punch the center out of the remains of the rivet and drill the head off of it. Then replace it with a small grade-8 bolt, washer and nylock nut.

Two most likely possibilities - broken wire in door wiring bundle between body and door or lock switch has gone bad. Unfortunately, broken wires in bundle very common. Good luck.
