So one thing I do miss from my old Mercedes 300E was that it had an outside temp display..

My dad just recently bought a 2003 Sport trac and I noticed the compass and outside temp display... I really liked it and it got me thinking if it's possible to swap it into the 1st generation explorer? Has anyone done this? Or what do you guys use for an outside temp gauge? I think it would look good being it's from ford and it would go right on the top part of the roof between the visors. Thoughts?

The 1994 Limited had them. I think the first of the 2nd gen Explorers did too. They were probably the same units at that point. I would start there. Probably easier, and the bracket is sure to work that way.

Besides the the wiring you need the display, bracket, and the temp sensor that sits just behind the grill.

Stick your hand out of the window....cold, cool, warm, hot...what else u need to know :D
