over heating

My 2001 Explorer was leaking coolant. Not losing lots, but now it has stopped leaking and has started over heating. Replaced thermostat about 2 years ago so am wondering if it might be pump.

Have you been replacing the lost coolant to maintain the proper level? Which engine?
