Overall Interceptor Reliability

My understanding is that 1 hour of idle time = 33 miles of driving. (I literally just read that today, but can't cite the source, so I apologize.) But without having a real good indicator of the idle time, you're just taking shots in the dark.

Edit: Found the source: Hours... or Miles? | Hendon Publishing

There are indicators that shows engine runtime and idle time in the system check menu (IPC).

Mine got around 2000 idle hour so from your equation, it should be adding 67k miles and that sounds crazy high. But no doubt the parts did wear out even in idle. My plan is to put another 50k miles on it in next couple of years and sell it like a toy, then go get a 2019/2020 PIU at that time.

Edited:
Btw couple thousands for a 2013 explorer with 17k mikes is still a square deal (at least from my view).
