My wife has an 02 with the 5R55W transmission.A couple of weeks ago I pulled codes P0735 and P0775.Since the truck now has 113000 on it and she got at 66000 I dropped the pan and changed the filter and fluid.I got about 6 qts. out of it and refilled with Mercon V and its been running fine ever since. The problem that she was experiencing was a very noticeable vibration/shudder that occurred once or twice a day while in OD.Turning off the OD made the vibration go away.My question is do these transmissions require periodic band adjustments or only after some type of internal rebuild?I ask this since P0735 has something to do with OD and I did not find anything in the pan. Thanks for any and all advice/input.

P0735 can either be indicative of shift solenoids A B or C or it can be internal parts, such as sticky valves. Since your fluid change helped I am going with internals for now....

P0775 is a fault detected in the B solenoid, but does NOT have to be electrical in nature.

The 5R55 series needs fresh fluid to operate properly. I recommend changing it every 30,000 miles. I also recommend you add Lubegard Platinum to it at each change.

If your problems return, I'd flush it, and change out the solenoid block as BB has suggested as a possible fix. When you refill it add the Lubegard Platinum.
