I have a 91 ex with 167,000 miles on it. It started overheating 2 years ago and I tried to fix it. Every time that I sit in traffic or go up the mountain roads it would overheat. I have thus far replaced the following parts and still have the problem. New radiator from a 302 with dual 12" electric fans that run on a switch so that I can turn them on any time, new thermostat that opens 5 degrees lower than stock, engine has been flushed and filled with new coolant(50/50), and just to be sure, a new suntune temp gauge. The truck will get to 250 in a heart beat up a hill or in traffic. The only other problem that it has is that overdrive does not work on the tranny. I give up. Any suggestions on what to fix next would be appreciated. :fire:
