I found that i have some codes. The codes are 172,176, 511, and 565. The 172-6 numbers were funny. Originally my codes were that i was running way rich so they were 181 and 186. Took out my chip and now i'm running way lean. Also taking out the chip got rid of the 511 code which is a PCM rom failure. I'm replacing my O2 sensors, since in 116k miles have not been replaced. 
Now heres my question. For the code 565 Canister Purge circuit fault. We've had this same problem with our ranger. This is a pain too, actually we still have the check engine light on, but it runs good at WOT. Ford doesn't give what part is bad in the codes. It just tells you the entire thing is down. People that have had this problem what was it. I want to see what was the most common problem. Almost seems like i have to just pick a point and start replacing things. I'm hoping that fixing these codes will fix my transmission. My torque converter will not lock up at freeway speeds. I just had it rebuilt 4 days ago too. The shop was saying that it could maybe be the codes. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
