what do you mean by builds up pressure? is the cap venting?

yes the cap is venting and bubbling in the over flow.it also shoots the coolant out of the overflow tank.and when the gauge goes up the truck looses power realy bad.i usally turn on the heater and it and it wont get overheated as much:mad:

Is there a thermostat in there right now? Pull off your top and bottom hoses and inspect them. Make sure they are not blocked somehow.back flush the radiator and the engine again, with the thermostat out. Don't drive her hot like that your gonna hurt your engine. Verify that the fluid is flowing.

Good Luck

It sounds more like a blocked thermostat than no thermostat at all.

Yeah would explain why the heat helped. I wasn't sure if he still had it in. Could it be in backwards...will it seat if its backwards?
