2004 ford explorer
i have a 2004 explorer its overheating but only when i stop like in a red light its when the temperature gauge goes up than when i start driving the gauge goes back to normal. if anybody has had the same problem or know what can be causing this. your help is appreciated thanks in advance

Check your fan it might not be cycling, or you could turn on your heat to the MAX or A/C when your idling at stop. If the temp goes down then something is wrong with your fan.
