I found out today that the o2 sensor that needed replacing was the first sensor before catalytic, (code 133, I think). I am assuming that is the one on the passenger side that you can kinda see from the top, and kinda see from the bottom, but really can't reach from either. Any advice on replacing this would be appreciated.

Let the engine cool completely. Find a way to get comfortable lying across the engine. The O2 sensor connector is located between the engine and the firewall (middle). A friend underneath may help to hand you the O2 end...

Not sure how your '96 OHV is laid out, but of the four O2 sensors on my '97 SOHC, the ones I couldn't get to from the bottom, I could get to through the wheel wells. It took me about an hour to replace all four.

Mine are all accessable from under the truck.

02 sensors

What do they look like and where are they located.

They have 2 or 3 wires going to them and they're screwed into a fitting on the exhaust pipes.
