1998 ohv, 170,000 miles. So yesterday I replaced my cam synchronizer and cmp sensor to fix the annoying squeak. The good thing is the noise is gone, but now I have p0171 and p0172 bank 1 and bank 2 too lean. It is also running a little rough, has stalled twice when put into gear, and stumbles for a sec on throttle. pulls fine after that. Also high idles when put back into park from reverse or drive. I had the plenum off and did not replace the seals but they were replaced roughly 20,000 miles ago when the entire top end of this engine was rebuilt. I have checked for disconnect hoses and vacuum leaks and havent found anything. I did align the new cam sync before installing using the provided tool, but the weird thing was when the engine was at tdc compression stroke, the half moon in the old sync was in a different position then the new one is when the alignment tool is on there. So i rolled the dice and stuck with the tool way, not sure if i should have. So does anybody think that those codes could be caused by the cam sync being out of time, or do i just have a vacuum leak somewhere? thanks in advance, Joey
