So my wife's 2002 4.0 Explorer was stumbling when braking at red lights.

The Engine Light came on and spit up P1151 and P0174.

I did a search on here and talked to my mechanic, and he said "intake manifold gaskets", so I got a set and replaced them about 2 weeks ago. I cleaned up the intake and cleaned the mating surfaces, and torqued everything according to spec.

This week the engine light came on again and gave P0174. I took another look at the vacuum lines and nothing seems bad.

What do you guys think? It runs alright but it still has a slight stumble.

Check the fuel pressure, you must have 55-62psi at idle and all throttle settings. If it doesn't, the fuel pump, or regulator, or rubber lines between them is bad. Good luck,

I was out of town on vacation for a week. Thanks for replying to my post.

I'll check the fuel pressure, plugs and take a look at everything again.

I'll post any solution If I find it.

Found that the clamp on the rubber intake bellows behind the MAF was loose and pulling air.

I must have forgotten to tighten it back up after doing the intake manifold gaskets. (what a dope)

Hopefully this takes care of it.

I will repost again if it does.
