I’ve been dealing with this code for a long time in my son’s car. He decided he wanted to replace the fuel pump, even though this has t fixed the issue fur others. Well, what do you know, it did t fix our issue either.
So the other day, we started disconnecting harness connection points to check for continuity, expecting to find a break. It was late, so all we could get to was the one under the dash on the passenger side and the one on the passenger side frame, below the front door.
Everything tested out fine, so we put it back together. Low and behind, the fuel gauge started working. It’s been three days and one fill up and all is still well. Before, the gauge just basically stayed pegged past full.
So if you have this code, try disconnecting one of the two mentioned connectors and see if it fixes it. Try one at a time t ok see if we can further narrow it down.
I’ll update with pictures later to help identify the connectors I’m talking about.
