Well, I was hoping that it would be a while for me to post another tranny problem. Guess rebuilds don't fix everything. Here is my freeze frame data:

DTC: P0720---Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Engine RPM: 1192

Load Value: 30.1%

Coolant Temp: 172 degrees F

Short Term Fuel Trim 1: 1.5%

Long Term Fuel Trim 1: -15.9%

Short Term Fuel Trim 2: 0.0%

Long Term Fuel Trim 2: -11.6%

Short Term Fuel Trim 3: -8.0%

Long Term Fuel Trim 3: 85.9%

Short Term Fuel Trim 4: 9.3%

Long Term Fuel Trim 4: -45.2%

Vehicle Speed: 7mph

Fuel System 1: CLSD

Fuel System 2: N/A

Any ideas on what I might need to do? Is it possible that I just need a new OSS? Cost?

This is the third time this code has been triggered since I did the install a couple of weeks ago. There is no difference in the noise or performance of the tranny since the DTC.

Thanks for any ideas,

-Bill in PA

I would check the wiring carefully, but it is a definite possible you have a faulty OSS. Check www.transmissionpartsusa.com and search under your tranmission type. They usually run about $20. Might be worth a replace and see approach (I didn't SAY that) after you confirm the wiring is ok.

Does your speedo work correctly?
