Well I got the itch and picked up my first explorer back in March for almost nothing. The bone stock 5.0 ran great but had no 2-3 shift. So I dropped the trans and thanks to the journals by glacier, and YouTube, I got it built better than original (I think) . Then I found a 4406 t-case off of the local classifieds with the linkage and boot. Then ordered me an aal to fix the saggy rear Springs. Built me some shackles out of 1/4" angle iron and finally got it all installed today along with a tt to level it out! I'm super stoked right now! I'm in need of some larger tires now so it doesn't look so off balance. I can now say I'm in the modified explorer group :):). Thanks you guys for all the great info you have up on this site. Made this project (or projects) a breeze. I'll try to post some pics soon, once I figure out how...

Nice looking rig.

Pale Ryder looks very nice!

Wow. I would have sworn those were 70s, not 75s. That's good news to me, I've been struggling over the past week to "put a stake in the ground" about what size to buy, and I just got a quote on Cooper Discoverer A/T3s .... 265/75/16s. Awesome! I'm done deciding. That looks great!
Thanks.
