omg this thread is like a friggin book. One of the admins should put a sticky on this so that future members with parent issues will have something to refer to instead of having to go through this whole ordeal. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to call my parents and thank them for everything they have given me (teary eyed) ;)

I know. It has gotten pretty big. I was almost joking when I reminded him he had skid plates when he was asking what he could take off to save weight. If I had known what trouble it would cause, I would have shut up.....

i think this thread turned into a place for people to vent about trouble childhoods.....:D

My work here is done...

LOL! Great job DocVijay! I just read almost every post in this thread, I feel physically and emotionally drained right now.

Here is my philosophy (not to beat any dead horses or anything) on parents and mods. I bought my first Ex this spring. It is mine, I bought it with my own money and am paying for a majority of the insurance on the vehicle. Before my Ex I had a Toyota pickup, my dad bought that for me. I didn't put mods on my pickup b/c my dad said I couldn't. It was his, and he wanted to keep it for himself and my little brother to use after I went off to college. My Ex is mine, so he doesn't care what mods I do to it. He knows that I am ultimately responsible for my own independent actions, and he trusts that I will make the right decisions when it comes to modding up the Ex. After I bought my Ex, I immediately slapped on some Rancho 5000s, bought a K&N and bolted some KC's to my bumper. My dad didn't say anything, actually he helped me install some of the things. He knows that I payed for all of the mods with my own money that I made over the summer and that I will make working up at school. Granted, he does pay for my college education - so I am still living under his rules - but my Ex is mine, all mine and he can't control what I do with it. Sorry for rambling. But if your parents bought it for you, you should listen to them when they say no. If you personally bought your vehicle, screw it, its yours and not theirs. Thats my opinion, and I think I did repeat a lot of stuff that had already been said on this long thread.

So YOU caused all this!!! :p

I think a moderator should just close this thread because it's getting really muddled and off topic.

That might be a good idea!
Let`s not attack him about parent/son relations anymore.

Let`s attack him for wanting to lower a 4X4!
That`s something a spoiled rich kid would do!

Ha Ha, sorry psychotic (and others), just trying to add a little humor:D :D :D :D :D
