Park & Neutral Radio Works, Otherwise NO GO!

99 awd eddie baeur, this weekend i started my explorer put into drive and the radio/cd changer wouldn't work, the only time i get any sound is in park or in neutral? Any help on
this problem or recommendations? my warranty of course was up 300 miles ago so i need advice on what to do from here?

computer reset

Just disconnected the battery to reset the computer and now
the radio/cd player works fine.

What exactly happens when the computer is reset?

Is it common to have to do this when small problems arise?

Ganna give this a try, my 99 EB just starting doing the same thing. Have any further problems??

When you shift into R, does it play your CD backwards?

Sometimes your computer in your vehicle acts up just the same as your pc at home or work. The messages get scrambled and when you reboot, it usually straightens out. Basically, that is all you are doing. Rebooting the car's computer.
